I AM – Series

The new “I AM” abstract binary series is now underway… In today’s world, most of our communication is done digitally via computers who speak binary code. This series is an expression of “I AM” or how we define ourselves in today’s world through binary code.

Every time we send a text, email, read or post something on the internet the computing devices we leverage speak a very simple language called binary. In a mathematics and now digital electronics a binary number is a number expressed in the binary numeral system or base-2 numeral system which represents numeric values using two different symbols: typically 0 (zero) and 1 (one). The base-2 system is a positional notation with a radix of 2. Because of its straightforward implementation in digital electronic circuitry using logic gates, the binary system is used internally by almost all modern computers and computer-based devices. Each digit is referred to as a bit. In short, the zero represents the off position and one represents the on position.
By combining the power of the phrase “I AM” and the abstract expressionism of binary this series represents how we express who we are today using digital communication.
